Not giving up the thumb

Aiden has all but given up thumb sucking (since the Dentist asked him not to anymore) except on a few rare occasions at night when I do last bed check and find it popped in there.  But not Ava.  Today as she walked out of my room I heard a small shuffling noise.  With her thumb still in her mouth she had rapped her fingers around the door handle and was closing the door taking small baby steps so not to loose her thumb.  Last week the world fell apart when she cut her sucking thumb and couldn't use it for the day because of the band-aid.  I tried to console her with the other one but it just wasn't the same for her.
