rain day

friday we were out in the driveway riding bikes. dark clouds began rolling in from the west. we watched the edge of the storm as it moved towards the house. it was hot out so it was fun for the kids to feel the drop in temperature as the clouds moved over the house. once it started to sprinkle we moved inside the garage to watch rain. at first frank tried to count the drops on the driveway. very soon the entire driveway was wet and then the wind picked up. it was coming down so hard we could watch the wind blow the sheets of rain through the air and waves ripple down the street. the kids were itching to get wet. after the storm settled down i finally gave in and let them go jump in the puddles. the rain stopped and a rainbow appeared. we had a great afternoon.
